What To Expect from The Wannabe Series?

As a published author, JohnEgreek found he knew lots about writing a book, but very little about book marketing. For the last three years he has dedicated his life with learning and researching everything he could about doing a dynamite book launch. The Wannabe Series is the result of that work.

Tip Number 1

How to get more attention on Amazon with your Book(s)

A great way to get more attention on Amazon is to ask your friends, family or your email list to do the following:

  1. Instead of providing them the title to of your book, ask them to do an Amazon search for your book (not by title or by author name).
  2. Provide them with a list of key words to do the search. Use the keywords you listed on your KDP upload page
  3. Once the Key Word search provides them with your book, ask them to buy it from the search.

Why you ask?

Because clicking and buying your book from a search upsets the Amazon Algorithm and helps your book to skyrocket to the top of Amazon. This is especially important during the first week of your book launch

With more readers looking for you, Amazon is thinking you’re special and when you’re special, you get rewarded by them.

Tip Number 2

Share a Sample of your Book

A great piece of content you can share with your readers is a sample of your writing from your book.

This can either be a section of your book, or a whole chapter.

Make it an “appetizer” that will entice the reader to crave more and to buy your book.

Like any strategy, this can backfire if it’s not done properly.

People may consume sample after sample, while never actually purchasing your book or any other offer.

Make sure you just give them a “salty sample.”

A salty sample, like pretzels at a bar, makes a person thirsty for more.

Your sample should give them just enough to make the reader know what they’re missing out on by not purchasing your book.

Fiction samples should end on a cliffhanger to make the reader want more.

With non-fiction, demonstrate how the sample is just one piece of the bigger puzzle.

Now, this is not to say you only tease a reader without offering substance.

You DO want to tease.

Think of your sample, in part or in whole, like a “teaser trailer” for a movie or TV show. Commercials are great teasers. Pay attention to your favorite commercial.

Once you leave your readers wanting more, tell them exactly how to fill their appetite with a clear call to action to buy your book.
